Constellation utilizes the latest GIS technology from ESRI, including ArcGIS Server 9.3

Idea’s Constellation solution utilizes ESRI’s application interface for Microsoft’s Virtual Earth for an alternative map visualization tier while leveraging the latest in Microsoft’s collaboration portal technology, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS)

With Constellation, administrators can leverage an extensible framework that allows to register SharePoint Web Parts to push or pull map events. This allows the organization to add or remove map enabled Web Parts based upon their business needs. Some organizations may need map driven BI (Business Intelligence), live charts that change on-the-fly based on map selections, while others need spatially enable document management (the ability to zoom into an area or click on a map feature and filter the documents down to just those feature related documents).
